How do you bill for your services?

Our standard billing procedure is to bill monthly. We require payment upon receipt. 

What hours are you available?

We are available during normal business hours, which are 8:00 to 5:30, Monday through Friday. We would be happy to make special arrangements for evening or weekend consultations.

What role do you play if the IRS audits me?

We will represent you in front of the IRS presenting the agent with the documents requested. In most cases these documents will already be available from the work papers in our files compiled during the preparation of the tax return under audit. 

How much and what kind of preparation do you need for my return?

Individual tax returns (Form 1040)..... We request that you provide us with relevant third party documents including, but not limited to, W-2's, 1099's, year end summary statements from brokers,   K-1's, mortgage and property tax statements, etc. At the beginning of the filing season you will receive an Organizer. The Organizer provides fill-in-the-blank fields for the various income and deduction aspects of your return. Prior year amounts are indicated next to these fields. It is not madatory that this document be completed but it The Organizer is meant to be a tool to assist in gathering documents and information for the preparation of the return but it is not mandatory that it be completed.

Business and other tax returns (Partnerships, Corporations).....We request that you provide a compilation of your business activity for the year covered by the tax return. This includes a Balance Sheet and Income Statement as well as any other relevant business activity accounting and analysis schedules prepared by your accounting personnel. As discussed in Our Services, this is an area of expertice we can provide.
